How this site works?

First, you have to decide what you want to buy and then go to the checkout. When you place the order the details go straight to our supplier who prints the mugs and bags, especially for you. They then send your order directly to you. This means that only the things that my customers want are printed and sent out from the printers. 

Refund policy

The fact that the printers print these items specially for you means that they do not take back any items that are not defective in some way. That leaves me with the dilemma of what do I do with the things that you return. Most of the time if you have packed them well they will arrive in good enough condition for me to sell from a stall at an artisan's market or carnival. 

If something is damaged or otherwise spoilt when it arrives. You must get in touch with us as soon as possible so we can tell you what to do next. (See the contact us page)

The same with something that is not as you expected. This business is run by an ordinary person who is trying their best rather than a faceless organisation that does not care about you. If you really cannot stand what you received then you can return it but it would be appreciated if you did not take advantage of our generosity. Very few people who sell these sorts of products accept returns.

Delivery times

As you will appreciate when things are printed especially for our customers we have to remind them to allow time for them to be made as well as delivered. In normal times it is necessary to allow five working days for bags and three working days for mugs. Occasionally our printer has supply problems or queues that are longer than normal. As you would expect the longest queues are during the times of greatest demand such as in the run up to Christmas.

In addition to the time taken to print the items you have orderred, you need to allow time for the chosen delivery service to do their thing. This will add two or three days to the time it takes for your order to get to you. This of course depends on the service you have chosen. We cannot do much if the delivery service has issues such as with the weather or a strike. 

The last order dates for Christmas are posted on the site. As a rule of thumb, it is better to order what you want by the end of November rather than leaving it to December. 

How eco-friendly are our products?

Our supplier is well aware of the concerns many of us have about plastic.  They use paper and card to protect the things that they sent out and aim never to use plastic. 

The mugs, water bottles and bags are printed using a dye sublimation process. The dyes they use do not contain toxins and are safe for both adults and children to use. They also say they are OEKO-TEX® certified whatever that means. The ink used for the mugs are vegan-friendly as well. 

The bags are 100% organic cotton. 

Why these colours?

In 2019 I had a drab dingy market stall and I needed something to add a splash of colour. I used single sheets as tablecloths to cover the tables so it made sense to look for some brightly coloured sheets. I waited until the January sales in 2020 and then bought the brightest coloured sheets from my favourite homewares shop. They happened to be bright blue.

Those sheets stayed wrapped up for longer than we thought they would as there were no carnivals to take stalls to in 2020. In 2021 they came out by which time a very similar shade of blue was used for the main contrast colour for the website. When I started designing the mugs I used the same shade of blue for the text as I had on the website. 

Before I had the bags printed I did some samples of T-shirts. This gave me the opportunity to see what different colours looked like. I had a navy t-shirt with a white print and a black one with a white print. There was something about the navy and white that stood out to me as classy and desirable. After seeing those T-shirts it was easy to choose the colours for the bags.
